The CEQ Healthcare Improvement Fellowship immerses frontline clinicians in sciences that offer novel ways to understand and improve the system, alongside existing approaches to improvement. The program aims to build capability in the health system and explore new paradigms of improvement and innovation.
Fellows undertake a year-long program learning about:
- human factors and ergonomics
- systems safety
- implementation science
- resilience engineering
- human-centred design.
Through the fellowship, clinicians become capable leaders of healthcare improvement with contemporary ways of thinking and responding to systemic challenges in healthcare.
Fellows will emerge as part of a network of clinicians who think differently about healthcare challenges, and can apply an expanded skill set for improvement and innovation.
