What we do
The improvement exchange promotes innovation in healthcare by publishing new projects and ideas and connecting the people behind them.
Projects published in the improvement exchange can be a program, initiative or model of care.
Project guidelines
We review projects before publishing them on the improvement exchange.
Your project must:
- meet a statewide health priority, clinical innovation and improvement
- be useful with a clear aim, evaluation method and timeframe
- be scalable and link to Queensland Health programs
- have a practical outcome
- be concise but comprehensive.
How to submit your project
Before submitting your project summary, ask your director for their approval.
Then you can:
- use the improvement exchange template [DOCX 554.72 KB] to develop your project summary
- submit your project summary for review using our online form.
The Executive Director, Healthcare Improvement Unit must approve your reviewed and finalised project summary.
What happens next?
- We'll check that your project meets the acceptance criteria.
- If your project summary is approved, we'll let you know it's ready to publish.
- If your project summary doesn't meet the acceptance criteria, we'll contact you to talk about it.
- We'll use our channels to let others know about your project.
Keep your project fresh
You can update your project summary and add more information at any time. To make changes to an existing project email ImprovementExchange@health.qld.gov.au with your edits tracked in a Word document.
If your project stops or doesn't go ahead, make sure you close and update your information on the improvement exchange.
