Safe, high quality hospital comparable care delivered in patient’s (child/adult) homes provided by a highly skilled workforce, with some HITH services also offering specialised services such as Geriatric Evaluation and Management in the Home (GEMHITH), Geriatric Evaluation and Management and Rehabilitation HITH (GEMRHITH), Maternity HITH, Palliative HITH and Mental Health HITH.
Queensland has HITH services across 15 of the 16 Hospital and Health Services, in addition to Mater Health’s Mater at Home service and Rapid Aged Care Coordination, Evaluation and Specialised Support (ACCESS) services.
