Cancer Nursing Masterclass

Cancer nurses are vital if we want to deliver the best possible healthcare to our patients. Oncology nurses are the key between the doctor or specialist, allied health professionals, patients and their families. However, recruiting and retaining nurses is becoming more difficult and adds to the workforce issues across all facets of healthcare. The Cancer Nursing Masterclass: What is influencing cancer nursing and patient care in 2022 showcases testimonials from four nurses about why they work in cancer care and what motivates them to come to work every day. Our five fantastic speakers cover topics such as health literacy and how it is the key to tailored support for the patient and their family, workforce mapping, access to and using data in cancer nursing along with digital health in cancer care.

Cancer Genomics Masterclass

Genomics is playing an increasingly integral role in the management of cancer. The Cancer Genomics Masterclass: Opportunities, Challenges and Logistics showcased four Genetic Experts who discussed various aspects of cancer genomics important in the care of patients and their families. The presentations cover introduction to germline genetic testing, implications of testing beyond the patient including familial risk, Tumour Signatures and findings in tumour tissue suggestive of an underlying familial cancer condition.
