Dementia enablement guide for GPs and consumers

We developed these Dementia enablement guides to provide guidance to General Practitioners (GPs) and consumers as to what can and should happen once a dementia diagnosis is made.

Consumer guide

The consumer guide details the types of clinicians and organisations that someone with a recent diagnosis may wish to contact in relation to a number of commonly experienced issues.

An addendum outlines the role of the various clinicians consumers may encounter during their journey.

GP guide

The GP version provides an algorithm to guide the care (including possible referrals, and a description of the roles the various clinicians play) GPs provide to a person once they have received a diagnosis of dementia.
