FAQs

We anticipate a very high demand for tickets to the Inaugural Growing Deadly Families Showcase when using a first come, first served basis. Using an EOI ensures equal opportunity for people to attend no matter where they work or whether they have attended in the past. There are two weeks to express your interest as we know how busy health professionals are, particularly in the current environment.

Community Service, Queensland Health, Queensland Ambulance Service and Mater Health Service staff member can express interest in attending. Private sector and interstate entries will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Those wishing to attend Growing Deadly Families 2023 in person have a window of opportunity to apply for a ticket. The expression of interest will open in May 2023 and close at 4.00 pm Friday 19th May 2023.

First, make sure you can attend by checking if your calendar is free (Monday and Tuesday 19th and 20th June 2023).

Complete the registration form before it closes at 4.00 pm Friday 19th May 2023.

If you successfully secure a ticket, you will be notified via email, so make sure you supply the right email address when you register. You will need to confirm your attendance within seven days. If you don’t confirm your attendance within that period, your ticket will be offered randomly to someone on the waitlist.

Unsuccessful applications will be placed on a standby list for any unallocated tickets.

We would love to have everyone attend The Growing Deadly Families Showcase 2023; however, we only have so many in-person tickets available. We will register you for a virtual ticket if you are not successful with an in-person ticket.

Only one application can be submitted per individual.

Each application can be used to apply for one in-person ticket.

You will be sent a confirmation email if you have been allocated a ticket. Once you receive your confirmation email, you will have seven days to confirm your attendance.

Once you have confirmed your attendance, you will receive a confirmation email. Note we don’t provide physical tickets for the event. The confirmation email simply confirms your attendance – you don’t need to bring it with you.

If you have been allocated a ticket and can no longer attend, please let us know via email OCNMO_Events@health.qld.gov.au.

We are happy to transfer your registration to a nursing or midwifery colleague if you advise us at the time of cancellation.

Standby tickets and cancellations will be allocated to the unsuccessful applicants.

We will have photographers and videographers on hand to help us capture all the action throughout the event.

Most of the photographs and videos taken on the day will be used for marketing purposes (for example, on our website or social media channels), but also provides the opportunity to further scale and spread the good ideas on display.

If you do not provide your consent, your name badge will be red in colour to indicate you do not wish to have your photograph taken or be filmed. Please contact our team for more information or ask one of our crew members on the day.
