Passionate about Practice (PaP) Symposium is a long-standing annual event held by the Office of the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer designed to recognise and celebrate the work and value of nurses and midwives across Queensland.
The 2020 PaP Symposium will be held at the Edwin Tooth Auditorium, Education Centre, Herston on Friday 8 May 2020, to coincide with International Day of the Midwife (May 5) and International Nurses Day (May 12). To compliment the World Health Organizations’ (WHO) declaration, the symposium theme is 2020 Year of the Nurse and Midwife.
PaP 2020 is a celebration of the work that nurses and midwives in rural, remote and regional Queensland achieve daily, while overcoming geographical and professional isolation and the extraordinary hardships that they have faced recently. The symposium presents nurses and midwives across Queensland the opportunity to celebrate the successes that they and their colleagues bring in contributing to the improvement of the health and wellbeing of all Queenslanders across all settings and geographical locations.
