2020 Year of the nurse and midwife

2020 Nurse Navigator Showcase

The 2020 Nurse Navigator Showcase is an event that aims to recognise and celebrate the work and value of Nurse Navigators across the state.

This year’s event will take place on Monday 30 March and Tuesday 31 March at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, with the themes centred on the future of Nurse Navigation in Queensland, how to best use ICT-enabled solutions into the future, and innovative practices.

The event is an opportunity for Nurse Navigators, who are now embedded across all Hospital and Health Services, to meet to discuss their practice, to celebrate the success of the program, and to look to improve the program. The showcase aims also to:

  • Reinforce the fact that Queensland Health is invested in supporting Nurse Navigators and is aiming to utilise ICT-enabled methodologies (Compass) to do so
  • Showcase the impact Nurse Navigators have on the healthcare system with respect to their practice. The showcase will serve as a valuable networking and learning opportunity for all attendees.

The showcase proper will be preceded by a half day education and induction program designed to cater for new Nurse Navigators and those who are looking to upskill or gain extra knowledge.

Please Note: This event is for Nurse Navigators, their line managers, or other designated delegates only.
