Can we make our wards safer? Working with patients to prevent and manage occupational violence.

This forum will discuss nursing interventions to assist a harmonious ward environment - adopting the Safewards model of care in an acute inpatient mental health unit and extended inpatient medium secure unit. The role of the NUM in implementing, sustaining the change, barriers and challenges and relevance of the interventions to other areas within the hospital setting.
