This alternative model of care allows individuals with burn injuries to receive specialist care either at home or their nearest healthcare facility.
Its benefits include improved patient outcomes and upskilling opportunities for regional clinicians, in addition to half-a-million kilometres in saved travel (April 2019 to December 2020).
