The Sepsis Breakthrough Collaborative is using improvement methodology designed by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) to achieve breakthrough improvement in sepsis management in Queensland. It has brought peers together from across Queensland to develop solutions for sepsis that will reduce sepsis mortality and increase reliability in recognising, escalating and treating sepsis early. The Sepsis Breakthrough Collaborative will take approximately 18 months to complete.
The IHI Breakthrough Collaboratives are a proven improvement methodology that support teams in creating, implementing and sustaining reliable evidence-based practice for an agreed problem.
