Contact Tracing

The purpose of the Contact Tracing Workgroup is to look at the issues of contact tracing practices in sexual health clinics in Queensland with the aim to:

  • provide recommendations on standardised guidelines/minimum standards for contact tracing in Queensland
  • provide statewide recommendations regarding contact tracing practice
  • support the implementation of best practice contact tracing across the state

Nurse Credentialing and Authorisation

The purpose of the Nurse credentialing and authorisation workgroup is to bring together a representative group of health professionals to: review workforce related information; develop strategies to address nurse workforce gaps and safeguard future staffing establishments; and, promote/support implementation of actions to ensure that a highly trained and sustainable sexual health nursing workforce is available now and into the future, to meet Queensland’s sexual health service nurse workforce needs.

Termination of Pregnancy

The purpose of the Termination of Pregnancy (ToP) Workgroup is to support Sexual Health Services to ensure their clients have access to ToP care, and to be the lead clinical group within the QSHCN to provide advice regarding ToP issues.

Gender Diversity

The purpose of the Gender Diversity (GD) Workgroup is to develop / collate a suite of professional development and clinical training materials about gender diversity and intersex variations for use in Queensland Health settings.

This suite of materials once collated will be published on the Queensland Health intranet pages for broad dissemination and use by Queensland Health clinicians.
