Allied health professionals rural development opportunities

Queensland is a large state with a dispersed population. Several incentives and programs are offered by Queensland Health to attract and retain clinical and non-clinical staff in rural and remote parts of the state.

For allied health professionals, rural and remote practice provides great opportunities to develop a broad range of clinical skills and to contribute to the health of their community. To aid with professional development and career progression, and to support the sustainability and flexibility of the rural and remote allied health workforce, work with partners to create positions and programs specifically designed for rural and remote allied health professionals.
