Rural and Isolated Practice Nurses (RIPENs) provide rural and isolated communities access to medicines when traditional prescribers are not available. The Department of Health is committed to ensuring rural and isolated communities continue to have access to, and quality use of, medications.
Further consultation on the RIPEN transition plan will take place in June at a number of locations in Queensland.
