Hospital in the Home service representatives from across Queensland came together for a second Statewide HITH Workshop to further contribute to co-designing solutions to common statewide HITH challenges, with a view to enhancing and optimising HITH service delivery.

Facilitated by the Healthcare Improvement Unit, Clinical Excellence Division, this interactive workshop allowed attendees to provide feedback on actions being progressed from the first HITH workshop (held in August this year), which related to better promoting HITH and greater utilisation of technology in HITH. Feedback will help ensure statewide applicability.

Attendees also engaged in live demonstrations of the HITH Videoconference and Remote Patient Monitoring Models of Care facilitated by the Telehealth Support Unit, and in discussions to inform future HITH purchasing initiatives.

Further workshops are being planned for 2019. The ongoing participation and collaboration from HITH service staff and referrers to HITH services is encouraged. For more information on HITH in Queensland contact us.
